Knit with Love: Stories to Warm a Knitter's HeartKnit with Love: Stories to Warm a Knitter's Heart
Knit with Love
Girls and women, boys and men take knitting needles and a ball of yarn, and after learning the basic stitches, create works of art. Knitting builds self-esteem as the knitter sees the results of their efforts and as they share their creations with appreciative family, friends, and even strangers. It is a labor of love.
I enjoyed reading about Staff Sergeant Sorich who started a knitting group while on a tour of duty in Iraq. For awhile he had ten guys knitting together. He said, “It was a great stress reliever.” (p.87)

Knit with Love
A time consuming, but practical skill, knitting is a gift of the heart and has therapeutic benefits for the knitter and the receiver of the finished product. Many knitters pray for the recipient of their knitting while they knit. As Lisa shares, knitting is a hobby that can be taken with you and worked on almost anyplace.
I started knitting in junior high school. It wasn’t until recently that I put my needles away. I’m thinking it’s about time I got them out again. Lisa has inspired me!
Lisa has a most delightful looking website too. Visit her at www.lisabogart.com.
