A Necessary Deception by Laurie Alice Eakes

A Necessary Deception (The Daughters of Bainbridge House)
by Laurie Alice Eakes

Lydia Gale helps free a French prisoner who befriended her late husband. Little did she know how much her life would change after that one kind act.

She soon becomes entangled in a world of spies and intrigue. She has little time for either as her responsibilities take her to London with her mother and two younger sisters. Lydia plans on introducing Honore, her youngest sister, to society. Cassandra, Lydia’s other sister, needs help planning her wedding.

Lydia soon finds out she can’t control her own life let alone aid her sisters as she planned. Feeling like a failure, she realizes she needs a friend and confident. Dare she trust her French prisoner who she thought had fled the country only to have him show up on her doorstep one day. Or was he an impostor?

A Necessary Deception was an enjoyable novel to read. Not one that will leave a lasting impression on me, but a book to escape with for a time.

I received a copy of A Necessary Deception from Revell/Baker Publishing.

You can find out more about the author on her website www.lauriealiceeakes.com.
