John David Olson 1948 - 2007
Four years erase a lot of memories. So much so that we wonder sometimes if you were a dream.
Then a scent, a sound, a touch, a sighting, crashes through our tranquility forcing us to face the stark reality of how much we lost when we said goodbye on December 6, 2007.
All our love today and always. Give Uriah and the grandpas our love too.

Praying for you today!
Thank you, Mom. I love you.
Can't wait to see you again Dad, and catch up. Guess we'll both have a lot to talk about. Kolby's sitting on on Holly's lap playing the piano - I imagine you'd enjoy his little concert. I love you.
Thanks for sharing. It's only been 15 months for me, but I'm already beginning to have that experience too.
Hannah,
Thank you!
Sam,
Dad would so much enjoy holding Kolby and Asher and talking to Silas, Abner, Phebe, and Myles.
Roger,
I'm sorry for your loss of your dear wife. It is true that it gets somewhat easier as time moves on, but I think there will always be that lingering void of the one we held so close to our heart.
Love you Pat. Yes I miss Dave's quirky comments and provoking questions...as well as his warm smile.
I have that thought at times too . . . was it just a dream . . . but then the realism and pictures, yes, scents and treasures come back. Thankful for the time . . .still missing with you!
Hi Pat, Somehow it doesn't seem so long ago that Dave, Gary Rich, Bill Kenyon and I called door to door at ELBC. Those years as developing babies in Christ were flames that continue to burn in the next generation. I loved his slight smile and momentary glance askance that preceded a witty reply (he had a great sense of humor), or an opinion!
Gary,
You have captured the essence of his personality. I miss that smile and his wry sense of humor.
I thank the Lord often for the heritage He gave Dave through the friendships and accountability of the ELBC men. Pastor Longcore, Doug Sporte, you, Gary Rich, and Bill Kenyon were all instruments in the Lord's plan to take a long haired hippy and mold him into a man of God who was ever faithful to his Lord, his family, and his church.
Praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy.
Mary and Loni,
Thank you for remembering with us.
Love you,
Pat
